Children’s Day is a day recognised to be celebrated with children in India. It is the Birth Anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of India. Children’s Day is celebrated on 14 Nov every year in India.
Manava Bharati India International School also celebrated the occasion with great pomp and show. The day started with a special assembly held by the teachers. The Teacher’s choir sung to the tune of the song “Aa chal ke tujhe mein leke chalu……” . Thereafter classwise events were organised by the teachers for their children.
Class PG- KG were shown a cartoon movie titled “The Jungle Book”. The kids really enjoyed the show.
Class I-V marked their celebrations by a visit to Buddha Park. They enjoyed the swings and various outdoor activities and had lots of fun.
Class VI-VIII had a trip to FRI. They enjoyed their day by gathering information on Biodiversity by visiting the museum. Thereafter the students got energised with eatables and soft drinks as a treat for the day.
Antakshari was the thriller for class IX. Students of IX A played against the team of IX B.
Class X had Tambola Fun. Students were all set splicing up the digits on their tambola tickets. All of them were keen listeners to the numbers being read out.
Class XI & XII had a Volley Ball & Badminton Match. It was friendly match between the students of XI & XII. The young and energetic players were in full swing and a competitive spirit could be well observed. Badminton match was between the girls of class XI & XII (science and commerce). The participants were : TEAM – 1 ANJALI PANWAR XII COMMERCE, AMBIKA MADAN XI COMMERCE, TEAM – 2 MEGHA KUKRETI XII SCIENCE, MANSI NEGI – XI SCIENCE. The match was won by XI AND XII COMMERCE GIRLS. .
The Volley ball matches were played in two sets – SET-I XII COMMERCE VS XI SCIENCE. The winner was XI SCIENCE. SET-II XII COMMERCE VS XII SCIENCE. The winner was XII SCIENCE. Our Director Dr. Himanshu Shekhar and Principal Ms. Nina Pant blessed the children and made the day enthusiastic and enchanting for each one .
