Yoga is essentially spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle Science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. It is an art and science of healthy living. Yoga is a path towards harmony of body, mind and spirit. The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit word Yuj which means union. Yoga session was organized in Manava Bharati India International School for students on 25th November 2019, a total number of 50 students took part in this session.
The students were informed about the importance of yoga. They were explained that yoga helps in maintaining not only physical and mental health but also a healthy social life. The students were taught various Asanas starting with warm up and stretching followed by the series of Padmasana, Vajrasana, Surya Namaskar , Natrajasana, Pawan Muktasana, Chakrasana, Brahamri and ending with Shavasana.
After various Asana session students were also taught the Pranayama for longevity. The students were addressed to include yoga in their daily routine for its wholesome and salubrious effects on the mind, body and soul.
