Earth Day Celebration


Dehradun: Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22nd . Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970 and now it includes events in more than 193 countries which are coordinated globally by the earth day network. Earth Day is the largest secular observance in the world.

Manava Bharati India International School conducted various events to demonstrate support for environmental protection.

The day started with the special assembly by the students of class XII comm. & Arts -Ashley John, Vaishnavi Gupta, Heena Praveen, Deepita, Ashutosh Karki, Priyanshu, Rishabh, Nancy, Anshika, Soham Dutta, Saloni and others . The Most special event was the skit.

After this a rally was organized by the students of class IX and X. The students participated enthusiastically in the rally spreading the message of Earth Day.

The Rally was conducted in Nehru Colony, raising slogans and showing banners, spreading awareness about the environment.


They specially stressed on stopping the use of plastic bags and not throwing garbage on the roads .

Students also distributed the paper envelopes made by  the students of class VI to VIII to the shopkeepers of the area. The teachers who escorted them were Mr. Anil Kandwal and Ms. Vinita Pandey.
